Insight Symposium is a monthly paper presentations by Dalit and Adivasi Research Scholars and young Activists to share their research work/activities related to their area/field of interest.

A brief note -

One of the most defining characteristics of past few decades have been the strong impact, on Indian Society, of growing scholarships, literature, research works, activism from Dalit and Adivasi scholars, researchers and activists.

This knowledge production is not only successfully challenging the brahminical hegemony in each domain, but is also providing a new direction and scope for people engaged in bringing larger changes in the deeply hierarchical and unequal Indian society.

We invite young Dalit and Adivasi Research Scholars, Activists and Writers from across the country, to present papers at Insight Symposium sharing their research works, writings, and their understandings on different issues.

This is an attempt by Insight Foundation to bring forth their knowledge production to larger audience and in the process support them to further refine their works.

All those young Dalit and Adivasi Research Scholars, Activists and Writers, who are interested, are kindly invited to send us an abstract (750-800 words) based on their works.

Those selected will be informed and have to send their papers three weeks in advance from the due date of their presentation at the Insight Symposium.

We will be providing train fare, local hospitality and modest honorarium for all our paper presenters. Also we will make sure to invite couple of experts from the specific areas to be present in the symposium. At the end of twelve such Symposiums, we intend to publish an Insight Anthology of all the articles presented.

We are planning to start our Monthly Insight Symposium from February 2011.

The notification inviting for the abstracts will be published by November 15th 2010 in the portal.
